If not, that is just horrific play and I can only presume he was trying to represent a big pair and push you off the pot. The only problem with that plan is that he would only get called by big hands.
Shame to hear about Full Tilt. I'm still considering playing there in the next few days once my Netteller account is sorted, but I may not now after this report. lol

I think i'd played around 10 hands, and the guy seemed to be pretty tight. TBH I don't think he even played a hand before that.
Players like him who buy in with the minimum amount will usually just hang around until they get dealt a PP, raise preflop and then push all in on the flop no matter what.
When i'm on an upswing they are my main source of profit, but when I keep getting suckout after suckout they are my worst nightmare!
But yeah, either he was mentally retarded, or he had to leave and wanted to have one last shot at doubling up - god knows why he'd chose one of the worst hand's in hold'em though?

Sit at my table and play like that and I'll congratulate you and encourage you as much as I can to continue to play that way.
It's psychology of poker 101.

That's true actually. I probably should have gone along with him instead of saying
"could you tell me which of these you are? a) a cabbage b) retarded c) a trained lab monkey d) all of the above"
he left shortly after :P
