1st visit to the club in London and I played like an arse. This time, with a field of 61 in a £20 buyin I was less nervous and concentrated on the game.

PLayed tight as a rock until there were about 30 people left, I was still only a few hunderd above my 1500 starting stack. Then I got an All-in with AA. Then hit a lovely river flush at low cost. Put me in a good position.

Got to the final table (with a dealer - YAY! - that was my goal) being about 2nd highest stack. Took out the guy to my left, then right, then another, then another.

People were referring to me as a fish and "the rock over there". Lamo - funny thing was - I knew I had a tight image so I stole loads of blinds and pushed a lot of big post flop semi bluffs and total bluffs. When one guy referred to me as a fish I said, "yep, the fish on the final table with all the chips" hehe

Did some huge folds to get there. 3 people all-in and I have KQ hearts. Fold - too big a fight. last 2 players all-in and I've got them just covered and with Ace 4 Diamonds - fold - didn't want to rely on Ace and diamonds only. Turned out to be the right move.

Got to heads up with equal stacks. Bene playing for 5 hours and we both agreed to split 1st and second. Walked away with £325.

Totally delighted.

Wife played, got her aces cracked early on so she sat behind me and thoroughly enjoyed watching.

Funny thing was , too, When there were 5 of us left, it suddenly dawned on me that I was very much the big stack and I'd forgotten to play big stack poker. From then on, I just stole and stole.

Awesome - well chuffed - and the final table dealer told my wife I played a very impressive game.
