That old question - what level to play?
Usual question about buy-in to playstyle relationship. I was wondering what your experience was. I typically play between $6 and $11 MTTS. Not really rocking but past the bubble on most occasions. I know if I had a few better hands I'd be much further up, that's just a matter of time really.
After my live game win I thought what the hell, lets try a higher stake MTT with less people - I should do well. Entered a $33 MTT on PP and it was like being back in a play money game. I was shocked. All-ins all over the place right from the start, and no it wasn't a rebuy! Right from the word go, 3-4 people all-in on most hands for a while. I could not make a move without being pushed. I must have been one of about 3 non bingo players! Any sizeable raise guaranteed an all-in. And often, on the showdown, people were pushing with Q10 off, mid connectors etc. Often pre-flop.
I was wondering whether that bracket of money attracted more wannabe's/self declared heroes who think $11 is for girlies? Maybe it gets back to proper poker higher up?
Maybe it's just PP lol? I am about to reload one of my sites, probably cake btu I want to get a feel for what to expect as I'm pretty bored of chipping away at cheapo games. I can easily make a small constant profit doing this, and I have done but it got boring - so I lost lol.
