:-) Nice play - he was clearly going for a flush. The preflop raise indicated either AK, AQ, AJ, or a big pair (maybe a risk of a small pair but unlikely). The check on the turn was a good sign of them not being a big pair. You had a straight long shot and trips shot - though a little irrelevent. (and flush long shot but pointless with a 4 high!)

I'd have checked on the river too. Why be greedy when you might have been slow played into quads or a full house.
