Default What's your experience of moving up?

I asked this a long time ago. I'd moved up since then, successfully. Now I'm looking to move up a level again. Currently a 11$ SNG player with a high success rate of money places and plenty of wins. Def making a profit, albeit slowly - though that's mainly down to chucking money into MTTs.

Looking at $22 SNGs now. I had a couple of games last night. 1st game I lost - was simply carded out. Terrible terrible cards. 2nd game I placed 3rd - again terrible cards but made some shrewd moves to clamber to 3rd - on one occasion doing the "I'm on tilt with bugger all chips all-in move" (with pocket rockets).

The question is what difference do YOU notice at this level? For me - the striking difference was the level of aggression. on a 11$ game you get one or two (at the most) very aggressive players who steal like crazy and know how and when to raise - I just pick my moment with these people, and keep outta the way the rest of the time. No problemo.

On the $22 tables I instantly noticed the entire table give or take one or two was made up of this kind of play. Immediately 8xbb bets were going in. All-in confrontations happened every few hands, sometimes several hands in a row. Frequently any sign of a raise was enough to put someone all in against you.

Of course the strategy of slowly slowly catchy monkey doesn't work when the entire table is aggressive - you get blinded after a while if you don't get cards,a nd when you do play cards, you have to be comitted.

I managed OK, but it was quite an eye opener.

What's your experiences?
