As you can see, I'm in early positions with KK. It's totally normal on PKR for raises not to be respected so it's no surprise that I get 3 callers to my 5x BB raise. The flop isn't too great for me. Possible flush draw, possible straight draw. But the guy pushes with $8.75 (yes, he was a minimum buy-in player), which was less than the pot so it's an easy call for me to make. I wasn't sure what to see from him, 2 pairs, trips, draws. But I certainly didn't expect 10-3 off suit!
And it's bad players like this that make PKR profitable if you can be patient. This guy called a raise, out of position with total junk. He then hit his pair with almost the worst kicker going and pushes. I'm not sure what he's thinking, but there is a lot of hands I would be calling that bet with (or any of the other players still in), especially has he didn't have enough chips to cover the pot which means we're all getting better than 2-1 for any variety of hands. Flush draws, straight draws etc are all priced in easily. Even a 10 would beat him, presuming someone else hadn't called with 10-2 of course. lol
Long may these players continue to grace poker with their presence. And long may they continue to sit at my table (unless they suck out - it stings like hell. lol)
