Hi guys - don't know if anyone may be able to help her but here goes.

PKR seems to be acting the goat, basically when I try and run it it gets to the loading screen (with the spinning circle thingy) then crashes half way through giving me the 'PKR.EXE has experienced a problem and needs to close, blah, blah, blah' (standard windows error message)

It periodically works fine and I've been onto the PKR technical people live 3 times about it now, updated my graphics card driver etc. etc.

I've tried uninstalling the software, shutting down my system then re-installing - same results

I've opened all the correct ports on my router and allowed the program in my firewall settings, even shut down my firewall and anti virus completely - same problems

I've even tried changing my screen resolution - no joy.

The technical guys advised me by e-mail that I probably had too many applications running, so I closed everything in task manager that wasn't tagged as a System application. All to no avail......

I'm lost as to what else to try.......

One minute it works the next time it doesn't it's really doing my head in.......

F.Y.I my System is P4 3.0ghz, 1024MB RAM, Radeon X1650PRO 256MB GFX, 240 GB HDD's (1x80 1x160) Running XP Home SP2 which is all upto date.

Any Ideas fellas?

Have you tried loading it with min specs?

Your system looks like its fast enough.

Also, think back to see if you've installed anything recently that's maybe interfering with PKR.

Yes I've tried that, again no luck.

and I've not installed anything since PKR. It has started working again tonight but I know this problem WILL happen again. I think it's probably a connection problem with the PKR servers. But when connecting it doesn't give any info to check?

this has happened to me but it sometimes waits till the table is loaded and the players are downloading before it does it. anyway the only thing ive done is go into ur harddrive program files and into pkr then delete pokerapp(the one with the pkr icon not the winrar file)
when u reload pkr it will re download the file and u should get it working again

Many of my friends have had problems downloading PKR, from some totally not being able to download it, to others where after leaving a table or loadin up a table, it just shuts down his whole laptop. Obviously i have no idea how to help them so does anyone else have any ideas?
Mini spec is obviously slightly better, but its just a matter or playing a few more hands before it shuts down again.
