Well, I entered a tourney for a laugh. The blinds were already 150 within 35 mins. I had total crap for 50 mins. then hit KK and some muppet called me and hit a fluke straight.

It's not the losing. It's the hands per hour and the blinds. After playing at party, I can't believe anyone with a choice plays at pkr. It's so slow it's rediculous - I was so bored I started reading the paper, and this is a MTT!. Everyone dicking around trying to pretend they do or don't have something by taking as long as they can.

The blinds give you no chance if you don't get cards early on. By the time you make a move it's pretty much all or nothing as the blinds are so high.

After my umpteenth time bored playing at pkr I withdrew everything. I'm not sure I can be arsed to play the pkr point freerolls tbh. $1k freeroll for 2500 points? and how often? I can play a $2k gtd for $6 every single day on PP.

Really, I truly believe PKR is a bit of a rip off. I get twice the money at least on GTD games at Party. I get loads of choices of games and tournies. I really can't think of a reason to play at PKR. If you like the graphics, great, but if you start to take your poker seriously then it's a pain in the arse.

Anywhay, I'll still be here :-) Having a blast at PP and opening an account on carbon later today.

Idiots playing everything
Idiots laughing when they river you
Idiots telling you how to play when their fishy play wins a hand
Not enough starting chips
Blinds too fast for the pace of players
Sloooooow games
Crap prize tournies (twice the price of PP tournies for the same prizes)
Not enough tournies/variety
No player notes
No final table deal making
$20 freerolls - LOL
Slow updating main screen - so getting a sng can be a nightmare
Hardly anyone playing $10 sng
Crap PKR point games, and no where near enough of them

I think you might have gathered, I have had enough lol :-P

On a higher note - I broke the quadruple barrier on my bankroll at PP today and tried my 1st $20 sng. Came 4th. the last 3 guys murdered me - but not a bad start!

p.s. I in no way endorse PP which I know Nation hates lol - it's just one example of competition. Lets' see how it goes at Carbon now (time to milk signup bonuses!)

I'm close to leaving myself. I'm starting at Full Tilt on Monday and if it works out then that could be my new home. If I don't like it, there is always PokerStars and Party, both of which I actually enjoy more than PKR at the moment, so it's hard to see me returning to PKR. I too am fed up of the idiots. I had JJ earlier, raised it up and was called by someone with 9-6 off suit. The flop was 10-9-6. I had the overpair but I didn't lose too much because he didn't bet hard, maybe scared of the 10 and I am always cautious now on PKR, and it seems with good reason. It's got to the point where I am dubious about playing any hand on there and I feel my game has suffered as I become more passive. It gets harder to put people on hands if they just keep playing anything. There was one female (I presume she was female, lol) just called with anything and was winning. She called a raise with 8-4 off suit and hit a full-house on the river! She was just sooooo damn lucky. And so she kept playing like it

Also saw some weird stuff that tends to happen there from time to time. Like I had AA, then a couple of hands later another player had AA, then about 3 or 4 hands after that, another got AA. It was moving around the table it seemed and it was only a six-seater. lol. (Incidently, AA won all 3 times )

Anyway, I don't want to go down the RNG route anymore. It's been debated enough.

I too agree with you on the tourney structures. I was in one the other day. 1500 starting chips, 10 minute levels. I was card dead and not hitting any flops for ages. Dropped down to 1000 chips and the levels were already at 75/150 so time was running out. Finally I got AK and felt I had to move. I was busted out by someone with 55. It was no biggy, I lost a coin flip so the beat didn't bother me, but I felt I never really had a chance to play.

I also tried a 10 seater Sit n Go and that was funny. I never played one hand at level 1. I was on the button in the very first hand, and by the time the BB came around to me it was level 2! And this wasn't a speed one either, it had taken that long to get around the table. lol

I personally think PKR needs to grow for a little while before it becomes a viable place to play seriously. In the meantime, I am looking for a new home and I am hoping Full Tilt is it.

What do you mean by "No final table deal making"?

I agree to the fact that PKR is not a good pokersite for "serious" players, and with serious, I mean serious money. I only play at lower stakes, and it works fine for me, so it is not really mine to judge.

I do think however that PKR needs to extend their loyalty program. Fast.

Indeed Dunbar. the PKR point games are pretty lame tbh. You only have to look at another user on here offering to sell them as she doesn't want to use them.

As for final table deal making, on PP, in most MTTs, you can make deals with the players on the final table. i.e. say there are 4 of you left, it's late, and you are all close to each other you could agree to split the total prizes remaing. A common practice in real games.

I got this email too. The downside is they are making it harder to clear than before. I had a reload bonus in February that was 175 PKR points per $1 of bonus and there were 90 days to clear it. This one is 200 PKR points per $1 of bonus and there are 60 days to clear it. But, on the up side, this one is a 100% whereas the last one was 50%

I don't think I'll be using it though. hehe

Have pkr dropped the amount of pkr points earned per hand?
My points used to go up so quickly, since there last update they barely move now.
Does anyone know if they have dropped the amount earned, or if im just not spending as much.

I must admit i do agree with what that guy had to say.

The free rolls and pp tournies are rubbish compared to money added to tournies on other sites.

Also the tournies such as £350 guarenteed. Its not as if they're actually going out of their way to add any money to these tournies, because they get over 350 people paying $1.10 anyway.

I just think PKR need to reward their users with some nice added tournies, or up the stakes on the freerolls.

I had 2 months to get my bonus and im just a low stakes regular player, i remember the last day i had 4 games on the go all day rushing to get the last 700pkr points, i done it with a minute to spare in the end, but it was hard work.
