Ever hear the story about the Absolute Poker doomsday switch? There's been alot written about it. Basically some guy wrote a story about how he was losing and someone from AP contacted him during live play and flipped a switch and the guy proceeded to win 10 monster hands in a row.

It's total BS, I know this for a fact. But this thread just reminded me of it.

As far as RNG's go, most poker rooms use very similar ones, are they as random as real life, I don't think so, but as far as bad beats go, you will get more during online play for one simple reason, you'll play 3-4 hands online in the time it will take to play a hand live.

I would attribute the same guy getting pocket aces to a glitch rather than a RNG problem or someone hacking the system. Poker rooms are super secure these days. About a year ago I had some guy email me about a RNG learner he was selling for $300. He wanted me to sell it on my sites. It claimed to learn the RNG the poker room was using and it would then tell me what cards everyone had.

I told the guy I wanted to test it before posting about it. (I never planned to sell it) Anyway, I tested it over a long weekend, it was complete horseshit.

Rosso, next time that happens walk away for a week or so. It always works for me.

If i have to read another story about RNG or poker online fixing etc etc bore bore yawn yawn i think i,ll scream!!!

9/10 the people who start,read or believe the theory that online poker is rigged is usually the ones that lose online because of bad play,playing drunk,tilting etc the list goes on.

Whats even funnier is that they still play.

If they believe it to be so why not just stop playing online and try something else.

I for one have had the most horrific bad beats more online than in live games (play more online) but its poker and it does happen thats why there are odds involved and miracle odds do come in now and then.

Saying all this i am a constant winner online and have cashed out more than i have deposited since i started 5yrs ago does that mean im just lucky and have avoided those bad beats or has it been me that calls 7/2o against AA and wins against you ..................NO!!!

Im not blowing my own trumpet but its probably because i can play poker and know when to toss that hand in or call for value (check my stats ,im sure some of you have played me before and know im fairly good)

Please take care when playing and i hope to you all that you can enjoy online poker as much as i do and not let bad thought about cheating etc get in the way when you lose that pot

Ive never been taught C but i understand its pretty similar to Java, so I'll have a look tomorrow im intrigued

I was at a table one night a few weeks ago and there was a mad scottish woman there accusing a bloke of scanning cards lol.
she went crazy and stopped playing but kept flinging insults.
It led to a fun, interesting conversation though. It's amazing how paranoid people can get but i have to admit I do think it's rigged somtimes. lol

p.s I don't think he was a "scanner' as she called him, I took more money off him than he did off me
