Well, this didn't even happen at PKR, so forgive me. I was taking some time away from the site, and playing a little at Paradise Poker (very nice, easily cleared 100% sign up bonus there, up to $100). So, logged on to play a few hands before bed and, three or four hands in, I was dealt Jc-Kc.

Flop came 6d Tc Ad

I bet small, was raised, I called. Turn came Ac. Barely paying attention, I thought, ahh, chance of a flush here, not noticing what else was possible...

Like the crazy agressive dog I am, I checked. Opponent bet, I called, probably against pot odds

River came Qc. Again, with half an eye on the TV, I go all in, nice, hit my flush, etc.

I bring down the pot.

Then, chat errupts with OMG and !!!! and VNH!! Ah, that'll be my hot skillz they're appreciating, I smugly pondered. Quick scroll up to check the hand, and I froze. Without realising, and as of course you all have spotted, I'd hit a Royal Flush. For context, from the PKR poker school:

Of the 2,598,960 possible hands you could get in a game of poker, only four are Royal Flushes (spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds). I'm just amazed. We're not talking 500-1, or even 5000-1 odds, as I'm sure you guys know. 649,739-1 chance of making that hand.

Miracles happen I suppose. Oh, and I took down a whopping $8 with that monster of monsters. Still, that's not the point this time really, is it? =)

wow thats awesome mate, thats what im talking about with maths. in the time i've been playing at pkr i have been BEATEN by a royal flush 4 times, when i've had 4 of a kind or a straight flush etc. by different people but god the maths is mindboggling!

i too made a royalflush, but in a live game-not online...believe me when i say i was shitting myself big time when the ace dropped in to give me the royal, tho to be honest the job was made easier by the fact that my opponent readily went all in trying to represent the very hand iwas holding . even more laughable was the fact he turned over a pair of 3s haha. Funnily enough someone had a straight flush about an hour later...9-k, followed by quads a little later on. And in the same game all three runners pre flop hit their set on the flop...that was quite easily the best game of poker i have ever been involved in, i have never seen so many hands busted, and bets flying in as i did that night with the chip leader changing pretty much everyhand. for the record i came 3rd 160 quid up...how did i go out...well i was short stacked had kk, slow played guy to my left raised, the other guy reraised..i obviously called. the flop came 10 6 5, great i thougt..they checked it down with the board showing 4 spades...i looked at my hole cards...king of spades...Eureka, or so i thought..the guy on the right turned over pocket queens with the queen of spades, and the guy on my left..well he had a 10..with the ace being a spade...guess thats poker really...but its a great game

Its always great to see aint it! I've hit one on PKR the screendump is on another thread called royalty! it was only in a $5 head to head!
