I like the new WSOP final table format - PKR Nation - For PKR 3D Poker and Casino Players

Just read DN's blog on this year's format where they are delaying the action on the final table until November and I like the idea. It frustrated me knowing who'd won before I could watch the action last year.

Just a shame they are editing it down to 2 hours.

I'm still not sure how I feel about it. One thing is for sure, ESPN will get huge ratings that night

Why dont they just broadcast it when it is played, no need to move the FT for 2 months, just move the broadcast for 2 months.

I've found these two articles give a clear explanation, and I have to say, make a compelling argument for it. In essence: The WSOP main event is no longer a tournament of champions, it's a show that need improving, including the players, and this new system may well deliver...
