Cool PKR Hand History Analyser

OK Guys - here goes - I am strating to write a poker tracker program for PKR since noone else has.

Everyone seems to state the problem being no time and date for the entries - well thats just not so - if you go to :

https://accounts.pkr.com/ViewTournaments.aspx

The web page displays the tournaments - entry fees and time and date played - along with the tournament entry number - so it can be scraped and matched to the hand histories

I have already started coding the "collector" part - and now need a few people that can assist me to write the analysis and reporting parts of the program.

No coding is required on your part - but a decent understanding of Visual Basic or reporting would be handy so I can talk "techie"

If you are interested - I am UK based - so bear the time zone in mind - and drop me a MSN at darrenadlington@hotmail.com - please don't be offended if I ask you a few questions - I require genuine coder assistants and not people who just want the program "made".

Don't worry though - the people that just want the program can get their hands on it as soon as I can put it together.

By the way - a little about me - am a freelance VB/VB.Net/ASP.Net coder of over 15 years and as such have very odd hours free for programming!

First I will tackle cash games - then look at tourneys.

Cash games have the same web page - but shows the sit down and stand up times - so a basic strategy to "time" each hand is to note the number of hands - and the time between sit down and stand up - divide the two and get an average hand time for each sequentially.

Not totally accurate - but near enough.

OK I have completed the ground work of importing the text files and scaping the relevant info from the website - have noticed that for MTT's it actually creates a file for EACH table you play at during that one tourney - so once I get onto tourneys - I will need to read all associated files for one tourney and stitch them together.

Have a look at the screenshot for an example of me loading a text file, having the hands extracted, the scrape of the relevant sit down/stand up from the website and the resultant output that I extrapolate - showing the hands - and appoximate timing of them.

Still haven't got a single tester yet

Regards
Darren

PKR hand histories are now timestamped, so that should resolve that issue for you. I play cash games so if you need a tester when you have something workable.

Watch out for how to handle bets and calls though, someone did a script a while back but couldn't get past the pot sizes. What I mean is if Player A bets $5 and Player B raises to $20. If Player A calls it shows up that Player A has put $25 into the pot (i.e. the two amounts added together) rather than $20.

If you can get past that then the rest should be plain sailing. Just remember to include some sort of winrate figure (like bb/100)

Good luck and keep us posted. There are a lot of people waiting on something like this.

This doesn't work, you don't get past the welcome screen, then you have to force quit the process under windows task manager.

I thought the same but it took a long time to read all my hand history, eventually it worked.
