Anyone here playing in those?

With $4 buyin you can qualify for the next level, retry the current level or dop back a level.
If you make it past stage 1, it can be great value. Maybe tough to get in the final stage, but you for sure get a lot of poker for your money.

I started playing the Heads-Up Phases, and am doing good, and I figured if there were any more PKRN regulars playing them.

I gave the heads up a shot. Got to about level 4 and gave up after keep going back down and trying again. When you consider you have to reach level 10 to get to the cash, it's quite difficult really. Then you have to play someone who has also managed the tricky climb to level 10 .. or someone willing to buy in.

They are a great way to get a lot of poker in for cheap but they aren't very viable for making cash in my opinion

HU play is terrible at PKR. I made it to level 9 today, but my JJ were beaten by TT allin preflop, so I am back at level 7. I will try again tonight, if I make it to the cash I'll let you guys know.
Funny thing is tho, you still get the same amount of PKR points when using a ticket than you should have gotten if you bought in with cash. It can be a easy way to lift your club PKR level if you have a small bankroll.

Headsup there are 9 phases, after that you can choose to play the final (first pays $380), or play an additional 4 HU matches to qualify for the Elite Headshup Final (first takes $1500)
Nine phases sound like a lot, but it isnt. PKR has 4 minute blindlevels and I havent played a match longer then 20 minutes. One was over in one hand lol, he had top pair, and I had the nut flush, and one ended in 4 hands, when his kings ran into my aces. Pretty sick to see a AA vs KK in an headsup match.

There are also regular phase s&g's, 10 seaters. Those have only 4 phases and then the final.

I like doing the phase HU
I know they are generally quick, so after I register for a tournament and there is like 30mins to wait, I will continue with my ticket....

most current ticket is at lvl 5

I have won the headsup ladder once and have 2 times gotten to lvl 8.

the 3 last levels are ussually bone hard as thise guys are pretty good at headsup.

the time i won the blinds went up to 400 !

A large part of the reason im bronze level now is from playing thise headsup ladders
