Four colour deck?. - PKR Nation - For PKR 3D Poker and Casino Players

I apologize for yet another thread but this has been bothering me for the past week or so. What do you think about the four colour deck?. Use it, love it, hate it, think they should burn every single one?. What's your say?.

Hate them completely. I've tried them on a few sites and it just doesn't work for me. Clubs are not meant to be blue and diamonds are not green (or is it the other way around?). lol

Having used cards ever since I was a youngster, seeing the different coloured suits makes the cards seem 'wrong' to me, if that makes sense.

That said, I think they should remain as an option for players who like them and use them. Everyone has their own preference

I use them, it makes multitabling a lot easier. At first I didnt want them, it looked weird until I played on pokerstars. I hate the standard pokerstars layout, so I used a more modern look they had available.

After I got used to that, I use 4 coloured decks everywhere.

With all of that being said, what about the use of them in live tournaments/games?. I heard they tried them at one of the larger events a few years back and that they were disliked by almost everyone.

True, I completely agree and have felt the exact same way.
Having green and blue in a deck of cards just isn't right...

I'll turn the option on depending how tired I am at the table... late trny
other wise I think it makes my screen shots fugly.

as I've mentioned before, I lost a big ass pot once because I was tired and misread my cards. So now I keep them turned on.

They did try them in live play and most players disliked them. Then again this was before online poker. I dont know how players would react now.

That's a good point Fonz. I think that in a few years, with the ushering in of the "online generation" that the four colour deck could see a place at the tables again. A changing of the guard so to speak. Ten years from now we might even be wondering why in the world we ever used the standard two-tone deck...

have seen the option but have never actually used them so i wouldnt know.

I just think that it would be wierd to see.
