I'm not trying to be a tough guy, or prepose any type of "fight".

I just hate stubborn people who cant see things that are right in front of there face.

so, for the 3rd time, seeing as how you have ignored me both times:

"How about you play alongside Mambo and me - not to prove who the better player is, or to partake in some verbal jousting, but so we can play some hands, and we can see how you comment on the amount of bad beats/questionable hands that appear?"

I just can't find any logic in this case.

first if you invest only 25$ to win over 3000$ with, then what is your problem? You won .... didn't you? bad beats are part of the play but on the long run you will win.... and you did!!

second you are talking about pkr feeling it's worth 3000 dollars, but... you didn't win that money from PKR you won that money from PKR players, the people you are now saying good bye to. You are saying goodbye to your little moneytree

third... I read roy rounders book, and read there you can have a bad poker day or even week, or even month, if you just don't seem to win.... just take a poker break is one of his tips.

adapting to a RNG which made me lose three times in two hours to quads just isn't possible.
Why wouldn't that be possible?

the odds of life being created on a planet are even lower, still it happend.

There's alot of other factors that made me want to leave also. I would have given it another month if it wasn't for the way Victoria Dornan treated me. Why should I bother to continue to pay PKR rake when they've blocked pretty much...well, actually...every feature except for being able to play poker?!
But there were alot of other factors that made me want to leave too...including the general maturity of the players (when their 5% suckout is down to me being 'bad at poker') and the amount of times players like this were increasingly being rewarded. And the fact that probably 7 out of 10 of the 0.50/1 players minimum buy-in for under $40 (it winds me up so much).
And to be honest i'd just grown extremely bored of the pace of the games too. Sitting there for an hour just to play 45 hands. Or waiting a whole hour in an MTT to be dealt a decent hand...for me, that's just a little too much like live poker.

If I flop a set or a straight, I should be punching the sky in celebration - but on PKR, you can almost guarantee a majority of the others in the hand have all flopped nice open ended draws too, and getting them to fold it almost impossible...i've even tried over betting the pot, but that isn't enough to stop idiots on draws. And this doesn't happen once in a while, it's almost every time you flop a set!

To lose to quads once in a weak is pretty unlucky. But in one day I lost to quads, three times, twice with full houses. And for a site that plays the least amount of hands p/hour compared to any other site is just unreal.

Until I got to around $3000 on PKR, i'd constantly see the 'better' players sitting there with double the buy-in+ - I had fun playing.
But then from around April, the suckouts were getting worse and worse - odds just didn't seem to stand up anymore, and the better players (AlanPartridge, MrDawa, who, back in the day would often sit there with x4 the buy in) seemed to be migrating out to better sites.

So to be honest, PKR is just a fad...a gimmick. A site that has been undoubtably the most expensive to create simply cannot afford to play an average 45/hours very hour with a 'fair' RNG. And you know what makes it funnier? I'd accumulate the most rakeback on PKR than I have on any other site. It's just unreal!
According to poker tracker, in just over 1000 hands on FT and Hollywood i've seen 20 flushes. On PKR you'll probably see 6-7 an hour. Just sit down and think about that for a moment...that's around 6 flushes every 45 hands!

Who the heck is Victoria Dornan? You're leaving a site because of a customer service rep that makes 5 quid an hour? That's illogical.

You are so sadly mistaken with that statement. The site wasn't even live a year ago and now has well over 500,000 players. and that's without allowing players from the US and a couple of other countries. I wonder how long it took Party and Pokerstars to get to 500,000 members.

PKR will be a top 10 site by the end of the year and I wouldn't be surprised to see it competing for the top spots in a few years.

Victoria Dornan is the head of 'Client Services'. She's the kind lady whom inforced multiple locks on my account, including blocked chat, removal from tournament rankings, forum access removed, withdrawal access removed, guestbook access blocked, blog access blocked.
...Everything pretty much.

And supposedly all because I said the C*** word during a game once.

Although the only one I received a formal email about was having my chat blocked for swearing. The following was inforced over the following weeks for questioning the RNG's integrity on the forum (before the ruling against it was even in place).

And to back up my other point, just because I said it's a fad, it doesn't mean it cannot be popular. That's exactly what a fad is.

Whereas other poker sites aim their advertising in gambling magazines, TV (poker) programs and the like, PKR took another route and aimed theirs more towards the general public, in lads magazines like Maxim, or websites popular with the youth of today, i.e. Myspace, faceback. Etc.
These people will generally all be kids and/or newcomers to poker under the legal age to gamble, hence why the Play tables are so popular.
And seriously, the site really only averages around 5000-6000 a day, and i think you'd find not even 1/4 of that are real money players. The sites dead in the early hours of the GMT time.

And yes, the graphical PKR thing really is a fad. If it was something that was going to be huge, you'd see a few copycat sites popping up...but are there? No. Because at the end of the day, a graphical poker site has many, many flaws. Slowness being the main...

Let me put PKR's 'popularity' further into perspective. Right now Full Tilt has over twenty full 10 seater $0.50/1 tables. PKR has two, both with 8 players sat at them. On the other hand, PKR has substantially more Play money players than Real Money, as opposed to Full Tilt's Real Money tables being the outright most popular.

I would have closed your chat as well. No news there, all poker sites should do that. Try that at a major live tournament and you get a penalty.

I can think of 3 other 3D sites and there are more in development. So no it won't be short lived. Eventually computers will be faster and the software will be better. I wouldn't be surprised to see every poker room in 3D a few years from now with the option to play in 2D. Which is something PKR is working on now.

You just don't understand how well this company is put together. They went out and got some of the best in the world at almost every position. I say almost, because I would love for them to have some poker pros regularly giving them advice. It think it would help the software development.

The other guy on the table that said the exact same expletive received a warning email. I received a permament chat ban. Also neither of us aimed the profanity at anyone on the table, or to do with PKR as a matter of fact.
That's done now anyways, fair justice was done, so it's all good...

About the 3D argument, at the end of the day, I play poker to win money and be able to take pot odds in mind. With PKR's insane RNG, it's almost a part of the parcel to win $200 one day, and then lose $300 the next. Ironically, the day you lose the most is when you will get absolutely drool-worthy and unfoldable flops and lose to runner runner after runner runner
Anyone who plays at PKR for the graphics, i'd rather avoid to be quite frank. On any other site i'd absolutely love it, but on PKR, they get nurtured like a new born kitten.

They also claim to have pro's endorsing them, but to this day, i'm yet to see a pro play on PKR. And i'm sure nobody else has.

Because of the current legal situation in the US those plans have been put on hold

Default is anyone happy

wow! i can think back to when near enough every post had a good vibe,i have been watching loads and loads of poker on tv of late and the game is so different to online its scary, pkrnation has a good point its players not just all bad beats,i think there is that many players taking the game up that they play for everything without thinking of anything but what they need,i think my case is that i need to step up and get away from the lower level buyins and cash tables-i watched an interview with negreanu after the matador put him out of pokersuperstars3-i have took this to head and heart and i hope this will put me in the right direction.

the machine.

I'm going to have to find a link to the interview.

Yeah the vibe on here has been bad, I personally don't understand how good players can get caught up in it. Even if you believe the RnG is a little different, a good player will adapt.

Also, don't get too caught up on TV play. Most people think they're watching consecutive hands and thats not the case, some times it's hours between hands and we don't know what happened in between. ie. did the play who just went allin with 22 just spend the last 2 hours playing super tight. Did a player pick up on another players tell, etc.
