Go to your sound settings, then "voice" settings. Set it to Dealer - Some, Players - NONE. It makes the world of difference!!! :-p

Hmm - that's the reason I stopped playing on PKR! :-) - too many people play for fun!

Sure - poker is fun, but not when the whole table is playing for a laugh. I've moved on from that and want a "proper" game, and I've run out of tolerance for being called a loser/laughing when my top hand gets busted by a lucky river chaser.

Sitting round the table and doing mexican

s of "omg!" was funny at first. Not now tho. :-p

I agree with Dodgey. When I first started playing on PKR it was fun with the emotes. However after a few months, it started to get on my nerves. One player would 'cough' every 2 minutes. Another would laugh every hand. I've been sat at a table when 4 or 5 of them just kept on laughing and it drove me crazy. I started to put people on ignore but found that I was doing it more and more and finally I just turned the whole lot off.

A lot of players use it as a weapon. They laugh and call you a loser continuously and it's aimed at getting under your skin and making you make bad decisions.

Emotes are a great idea, but too many people abuse them in my opinion

It gets really annoying at times, although i get back at the loser call and thank them for it after a few thank yous they stop and start on someone else.

I listen to music most of the time so i cannot hear them anway.
