Default Full Tilt going through it's crazy patch again

Full Tilt does this every so often, just goes crazy. I just played 70 hands of cash games for a change, mainly because I didn't have much time. And in those 70 hands I saw some crazy stuff. Quads came out twice - and got paid off twice. One was flopped when someone had 6-6 and 6-6-x came down. The other was 5-5 with a 5 hitting the flop and quads completing on the turn. Both times they had good hands against them, lucky buggers. None of these happened to me by the way.

Then I saw this, probably the worst beat I have seen so far on FT. Two players to the flop. It was raised pre-flop.

Flop came down 7c 4c 7h

Player 1 bets, player 2 calls

Turn: Qs [ 7c 4c 7h Qs]

Player 1 checks, player 2 goes all-in, player 1 insta calls

Player 1 showed Q Q, he had the full house
Player 2 showed 6c 8c, he had the flush draw and straight draw. Not sure why he pushed on the turn though

Anyway, the river did it all - 8c. Player 2 hit a straight flush to crush the full house

There were a fair few more hands where the hand that was behind sucked out on the river. So it's turned into suckout city again at the moment

Earlier, I saw two guys on the flop. The flop was 10 J Q. Both then went all-in. One had AK, the other AA. It came runner runner spades though and gave the guy with AA the nut flush. Needless to say, the guy with AK then started a slanging match. lol

But the most disturbing thing I saw was posted on a forum. Some guy was watching one of his mates (I presume) playing on two heads up tables against the same guy. At one point, the flops came down and he did a screen shot because of what he saw:

Flop 1: Qh Jc 6s 5s 4c
Flop 2: Qh Jc 6s 5h 4d

The last 2 cards aren't the same suit, but the same rank nevertheless. This to me is a little disturbing. In certain runs I do get the same hole cards back to back. Well the same rank anyway, occassionally the same suit.

I don't know what it is, but every couple of weeks FT seems to go through this crazy phase. Maybe it's a full moon

lol, I've just been flicking through the FT forum, seems a few others are going through the mill at the moment too.

These guys were all-in in a tourney, one was the short stack:

RaidenRadio shows [Kc Qd]
kbs4041 shows [Kd 4d]
*** FLOP *** [Ks 6h 4s]
*** TURN *** [Ks 6h 4s] [Qh]
*** RIVER *** [Ks 6h 4s Qh] [4h]
RaidenRadio shows two pair, Kings and Queens
kbs4041 shows a full house, Fours full of Kings

And this one was particularly sick, both guys all-in pre-flop with the balance shifting at every phase before hitting a one outer. lol:

cjavdani shows [Kh Ks]
Erwino shows [Ac Ah]

*** FLOP *** [Kc 9h 2h]

*** TURN *** [Kc 9h 2h] [Ad]

*** RIVER *** [Kc 9h 2h Ad] [Kd]

cjavdani shows four of a kind, Kings
Erwino shows a full house, Aces full of Kings

'tis funny mate - I have totally experienced the FT effect - when I joined - lost my initial 100 bucks could not win a thing (though there is a real chance I was overconfident and playing wrong). Then I got a recent "" of it and ran as soon as it started happening :-) - so many poker rooms to chose from, whether is psychological or not, there is no reason why not to move and ride it out :-)

Yeah, I need to decide where to try next. I have actually made a couple hundred dollars at Full Tilt but it's gone stagnant lately. None of the above beats/suckouts have hit me yet, but I'm sure they will. hehe

I just set up a rakeback deal on Absolute Poker believe it or not. They still get around 20,000 people at peak times and from what I have seen of recent AP statements, there isn't too much to worry about.

So I might try there although I don't think I'll be depositing big if I do, just in case

I also have accounts at VCPoker and PokerStars. The only problem with PokerStars is the lack of rakeback and bonuses. They seem to attract people by reputation alone and obviously feel they don't need to offer incentives.

VCPoker has no rakeback either but seems to have good bonuses so I might try there, although I haven't played there for a long time. I seem to remember not liking it there so I'll have to test it to jog my memory.

I don't like PartyPokers software, so I'm not going back there.

With PKR, I played there a few days ago and witnessed the constant stream of straight draws and striaghts actually hitting so I'm not sure about their shuffling procedure. That rules PKR out too for me

Cake still keeps crashing on me every 10 minutes, so I'm not going to deposit there.

I'll have a good think over the weekend. First order of the day is to get blinding drunk tonight so the kebab tastes great later. lol

haha! :-) - I'm supping beers.

1) Entered 1$ R&A - cip leader in 10 mins. Blew it after 1 hour. Rebought, got to 10th place, lost it all lol

2) Entered 3$ MTT freezout. Chip leader in half hour. 40 mins in I have 15k. 2nd place has 10k. 1 hour later I'm at 5k with 15 players left. I have AQ, raise a health bet from guy on left. He pushes, I know he has less. Sure enough A 10. He hits a 10 (both hit an ace). I'm out.

Tell you what tho - I had great fun - on Carbon poker - really friendly crowd there. Games are enjoyable. Only massive hitch is it's very very slow to get a $11 SnG or higher.

Was tempted to try PKR again but I just can't live with the slowness and the crap bonus system (and the crap GTD games etc etc)

I highly suggest Cake if you can get your problem with them sorted out. Im going back there here very soon (as soon as Epass gets my withdrawl from another site!). Just too many fishies and rakeback for me not to!

Cake was indeed fun but I had enough of it - I like a little change here and there, and while there were great overlays for a while, now, the smaller GTDs (like 1k or 2k) tend to be oversubscibed.

Yeah, I forgot about the PKR slowness. Playing Sit n Go's on PKR is very painful. I actually suggested on their forums they should change the blind structure to help with it.

The blinds rise up quite steeply and with PKR being slow anyway, you don't really get to play much poker before you have to start making moves.

As an example I made notes once to compare to Full Tilts game (I really like FT's blinds structures, plenty of poker playing time).

On PKR, we got to level 4 which was blinds of 75/150 and we had played only 14 hands! We hit level 5 (100/200) after just 22 hands. There were still 8 players left at this stage and it starts to get hectic as players begin to panic.

On Full Tilt, we got to the same level of 75/150 after playing 51 hands. A big world of difference.

Go card dead on PKR and basically your struggling before you know it. Full Tilts structure means you can play a lot more poker and survive being card dead if necessary.

Like I said, I posted this on PKR's forums but I don't know if they took note despite other players agreeing with what I said.

And of course the low traffic means it takes an eternity to fill a 10 seater table. Because I am mainly a Sit n Go player traffic is a factor
