Although networks share the same tables, you cannot log into one site using the username etc from another site even if they use the same network. Each site will probably offer different bonuses etc.

Networks share the same tables, but nothing else

So say if your logged into your Iron Duke account and I'm on at Carbon, we can play together at the same table?.

My next question however is, does it make sense to have account with multiple Merge Network rooms?. I mean, I have my main one at Carbon and another at Iron Duke. Is that pointless?.

Pretty much pointless. Just pick the site you like best and go with it. The one advantage I could think of is that you could sign up for one and get the sign up bonus, then when that's complete, sign up for another site on the network and get their sign up bonus and so on.

I think it works, although I have never tried it

No it doesnt work . All pokernetworks have the policy that if you sign up with 1 you void your signupbonuses with the others. Altough i think i saw that if you dont have a rakeback account on merge you can get 1 at Nordica even if you have signed up with someone else on merge before. But no signupbonuses.
