Online poker room hits the felt with three day live event

London, September 10, 2008 – PKR.com is proud to announce the launch of its first ever live poker festival! The three day event, aptly named PKR Live, will run from November 14th - 16th and will be held at London’s Loose Cannon Club.

The inaugural PKR Live festival will feature guaranteed prizes totalling nearly $100,000 along with cash games and Sit & Go’s running throughout. Up to 150 lucky qualifiers will get their hands on fantastic packages worth $1,000, which includes buy-ins for all of the weekend’s tournaments in addition to travel and accommodation expenses - and the only place to qualify for this event is on PKR.com.

The exclusive festival will boast three days of intense live action…
• Day 1 kicks off with the PKR Welcome Tournament - a $60 freezeout to warm players up for the following day.
• Day 2 features the Main Event - a $500 freezeout with 150 runners and a massive $75,000 prize pool with a guaranteed $20,000 going to the winner.
• Day 3 finishes with the conclusion of the Main Event action for the first ever PKR Live crown. For those not lucky enough to reach Day 2, PKR is holding a $10,000 bounty freeroll to add spice to the final day.

There are many ways to claim a seat to this great event including weekly finals which take place every Monday and Thursday with two stages of qualifying satellites offering the chance to win in for as little as $2.38. Players can also buy-in direct at every satellite level or qualify in Sit & Go’s running 24/7. Another route is the $25 special satellite where 1 in 40 runners will win through to the live event. The top five players on the PKR.com MTT leader-board will automatically qualify and receive packages to the festival, and to add more to the mix, PKR.com are also giving away ten packages through freerolls.
