Help a fellow poker player in need - PKR Nation - For PKR 3D Poker and Casino Players

A good friend has had a rough go as of late. He got into a car accident and hasn't been able to work. Some friends have put together a little fund raiser tournament to help him pay some bills.

I'd like to invite all PKR Nation members to participate.

Here's the tournament info:

Name: DPK Bad Beat Recovery Fund

What: $5 Buy-In NL Holdem - $1 to prize pool - $4 to dpk57

Where: Cake Poker

When: Sunday August 12th at 4pm ET

Also The Dawgg House will send the winner a Dawgg House Poker T-Shirt

I know many of you dont know him, as he does not play on PKR. However, dpk is one of the nicest, most caring, most honest players and people that I have ever met. If you have the time and funds, this promises to be a very fun game that is for a GREAT cause.

I think its either 9pm or 10pm GMT. It's a great cause and I guarantee you it will be some very good play. It would be great if you can make it.

I would like to throw out a thanks to Dunbar and Dodgey, who, without even knowing the guy, still came out and played. It means a lot to me, and him, that you came out and did this. It shows some true character.

I've thanked them both privately, but also wish to thank you both here in the forum for coming out and supporting a good guy in need.

My only regret is that you both couldn't join us late last night in the ass whooping we put on the Kruz radio players. The format was 15 vs 15, Us Dawggs vs Kruz radio in a no holds barred grudge match. It's safe to say it was total carnage as we destroyed them. I had the pleasure of knocking out their leader "Mole" or whatever his name is.

I'll definitely work on setting something up on here so that we can take on some forums. But I'll have to write some team poker strategy up for you all before hand.

haha - that sounded fun! - the regular game was challenging to say the least. No only did you have to work out how to play with the Borg on your left - 1st time I've been pushed off AK on the blind - but you had to take into consideration the players who were afk. Judging when to raise steal their blinds but not running into the person on your left.... who happened to be Borg. Arghh! :-0

Hahaha! That Kruz game! I was promised a bracelet if I took down that game on top of the charity game... Dam 2nd places! But that was one sad game, those Kruz players were talking about collusion and chip dumping... We Dawggs did what we always do in forum games: busted each other as much as the other team. Idiots that think they know how to play team play! If PKRN gets in some forum challenges, Ill help Nation put in some input on team play.

And yes, Dodg, having me on your left, especially when I have that nice stack, makes ANY tournament fuuuun!
