Yes there are some Freerolls for players without any "real money" in their account, you don't need any PKR points or a "real money account" to enter. The tournaments are labeled with how much it costs to enter and you should notice the free Freerolls that have ($0+0) as their cost to enter. Your account is already set up for depositing and withdrawing real money, you just have to fill in the details, credit card, mailing address, etc. Like you have come to notice, there hasn't been any Freerolls in the past week or so, why I don't know, I'm just a fellow PKR practice table player like yourself. Hopefully PKR Nation or Dunbar can help us out with why there are no more. They're great at answering any question(s) you may have.
I hope I made some sense here for you Hoppla. Let me know if you need me to clear anything up. Last edited by JdhMac : 05-31-2008 at 04:41 PM. Reason: [clarification.] |

First thank you very much for your helping answer. I was wondering becaus i have found none of those 0/0 tournaments... maybe they start some new again. it was surprising for me that so many player bougt clothes and so i was sure they have had a chance for some real money for free und made some PKR out of this...
we see what happens... would be great if we can post something in this thread if someone sees that new "no buy in" tournaments start again ![]() Good luck everyone ! ![]() |

Well the tournament has only started and I'm already out. What can I say?. I played nervously and maybe shouldn't have tested the person I was up against in the hand. I had pocket nines and after she raised, what I thought was a bet to try and buy the pot, I went all-in and turned out she had a hand. It was my first Freeroll so I had those beginner nerves, which is pathetic since I can play any other MTT like it's nothing, but throw in the opportunity of winning a few measly dollars and I go on tilt. I just need to play more real money games/tournaments to gain some experience and grow as a No-Limit Hold'em player. Thanks for hearing me out. This just goes to show you that a little winning at the practice tables doesn't mean a thing if you can't handle the pressure of real money action.
If anyone has been here and knows any good books, ideas, anything really, to go about learning and growing as a poker player I'd love to hear what you have to say. Jonathan. |

Thanks Hellwung. I have the original Super/System and have read enough of it, but then again I was about 16 years old and I haven't touched up on it as of late. I just wished I had the innocent enthusiasm I had back then. I mean I'm still young, 23, but back then was a different story. Watching Rounders at least once a day and reading ANY and EVERYTHING I could get my hands on regarding Hold'em. I agree with you about the "dipping" instead of cover to cover. The original Super/System has sections devoted to several types of poker and doesn't necessarily apply to No Limit Hold'em, which I play more often than not. Check out Launchpoker.com and let me know what you think of their "Learn the Game/Poker School" section. I found that site plus a few others that I think are decent resources re: poker strategy and theory. Let me know if you know if any others.
