PKR has increased the prices of all their products today. Everything has gone up between 20 and 50%.

For example; You now need 15k points for some paper PKR cards. It used to be 10K for plastic cards. What is going on there? PKR doesnt have a strong clientele so it seems to me they cannaot afford themselves to cut in their loyalty program.

That's a darn good question and one I hope to have answered when I meet with them next month. I'm very troubled that they can't seem to get a constant $5/10 game going. At this point they should have a regular $25/50 going.

PKR needs to stop going after the new players. They don't realize it but its destroying them. They need good experienced players, but they're chasing them away with players that call everything to the river.

It seems they can't decide on the amount of points. I have a deck of their plastic cards at they cost me 30,000 points (or wa it 35,000 - can't fully remember). Anyway, they changed to 10,000 not long after that. I was considering getting another pack or two but if the quality has dropped and the cost gone up, I'm not sure now. The deck I have is good quality plastic cards and I do like them.

We’re sorry you’re upset by the changes to the shop. We’ve raised the prices of some items to make sure you always get the best quality merchandise and to cover increases to us in shipping costs. Raising prices is not something we like to do, but we do need to ensure that our costs are adequately covered.

The good news is that we’re also expanding the PKR Shop (later today) so that you can get tickets to loads more tournaments on the site with PKR Points – including tickets that you can get for a minimum of points.

We are listening and many of these changes are the result of feedback we’ve gotten from players in the past and we hope the changes to the shop will offer more variety for all of our players.

To cover the shipping costs? I was under the impression that a good poker room is swarming in money.

Ironic that they have special actions that you can make PKR points twice the normal rate now.
