Default Sometimes the donks win

How in the world did this muppet get to win this hand? It just shows that bad players can and will suck out on you occasionally. This is from VCPoker and this player definitely went in the notebook as easy cash in the future

Starting a new hand (#732613467)
Texas Holdem NL $0.25/$0.50 - 2007-11-23 01:16:59 Server
Table Addis
Seat 1: pizzman3 ( $18.80 )
Seat 2: heliokrt ( $58.70 )
Seat 4: MrSimson ( $12.45 )
Seat 5: TrueForm5 ( $51.25 )
Seat 6: paz27 ( $55.39 )
Seat 7: PlayMoney416 ( $39.03 )
Seat 9: DrBossis5 ( $10.88 )
Seat 10: ax7729 ( $29.25 )
paz27 posts Small Blind $0.25
DrBossis5 posts Big Blind $0.50
Dealing cards
Your cards 8h Th [TrueForm5]
ax7729 folds
pizzman3 calls $0.50
heliokrt folds
MrSimson folds
TrueForm5 calls $0.50
paz27 calls $0.25
DrBossis5 checks
Dealing Flop 4h 9c 5h <---- Got the flush draw
paz27 checks
DrBossis5 checks
pizzman3 checks
TrueForm5 bets $1.75 <---- So I bet out
paz27 folds
DrBossis5 calls $1.75 <---- He has Jd Tc, why is he calling? lol
pizzman3 folds
Dealing Turn 4h 9c 5h 7s <---- Now I got the flush draw and open ended straight draw
DrBossis5 checks
TrueForm5 bets $9 <---- I bet to put him all in. This should get rid of small pairs and/or draws. But I'm in good shape if he calls
DrBossis5 goes All-in $8.63 <---- He thought for ages before calling right before time ran out
Dealing River 4h 9c 5h 7s 8s <---- He had a gut shot draw and hit it
DrBossis5 shows Jd Tc <---- How in the world can he call a 10-1 shot with lousy pot odds?
Winner is TrueForm5 $0.37
Winner is DrBossis5 $21.66

I'm still baffled by his play. It really doesn't make sense, not even the call on the flop. He made a terrible call on the turn and got lucky. I know I was semi-bluffing, but I had 2 good draws and I know a decent player would have folded here with just a gut-shot.

Still that's poker. I actually took this calmly because I've had a good day and just made a note by his name. He's definitely easy money . This hand created my only losing session of the day but I'm still well up

Ouch. Unlucky there, though at least your muppet had a 2-1 draw as opposed to mine who had a 10-1.

That said, it was still a donk play by her. With only one caller (you - unfortunately) she was only getting even money on a 2-1 shot. Also, she was only going to get called by big hands. So she gave herself rubbish odds and she was behind. 2 times out of 3 you would win this hand - this time though it wasn't to be. Take heart in the fact she will probably lose all her bankroll eventually with plays like that

lmao, just as I predicted ...

I looked in on PKR before going to bed and Jobell was sat at a $100 NL buy in table. She was sat out with no cash in front of her! So she lost that cash she took from you Mogwai

I was pretty frustrated about that hand for a good hour so I decided to post it on the PKR forums to let off some steam.. what a mistake that was, its like talking to a brick wall. There are some guys there defending her play.
