Default How do these guys survive?

Playing at the lower levels, I've started to play 6 seaters. And to say the play is very loose would be a huge understatement.

One player was simply playing any two cards, any position - and winning! I saw him limp then call a raise with 8-2 off suit! He spiked a 2 on the flop and an 8 on the river to take the pot. This guy was nearly a whole buy-in up. It just doesn't make sense sometimes.

Today I found another loose player. He limped UTG with 7-3 suited and then called a big raise from the guy on the button. They ended all-in on the turn after the flop showed a 7 and the turn was a 3. The guy who raised it up had A-A. He had A-A cracked by 7-3 despite raising it up. Sometimes you just wonder what you have to do against these players.

I did find a losing one though who simply loved the all-in button and lost 3 buy-ins very fast. he would shove all-in with bottom pair or straight draw and lost out big time.

So do these players eventually stop playing? I know some of them win in the short term, but if they keep playing their hands the way they do surely that bankroll will fade away eventually?! And why do they play like they do? No way could I even consider limping UTG with 7-3 suited and I certainly wouldn't call a big raise with it - so what are they thinking about?

Seeing these players win is a peeve of mine. Thankfully, justice is done sometimes and they lose big

I was playing 10/20c and a chap pushed all-in and I called (preflop) - he had 10 7 off. He hit I missed. I think any game where people are prepared to play drunk for for a "laugh!" are dangerous.

Thing is, I'm playing withing tight bankroll rules in cash games so I'm kinda stuck.

Sayign that, I'm in Bangkok and finding reliable free wifi tricky so no fun for a short while

personaly i prefer playing on the short handed tables, this is mainly due to the fact that you get more hands per hour.
i agree with you that you do get idiots who will play any 2 cards and will push all in with absolutly nothing but isnt it the same on other sites 2?. where ever you play your always gonna get idiots playing "idiot poker"

I totally agree with you MrJ. I recently moved to 6 seaters from 10 seaters and i think I like the 6 max better. More hands plus good hands tend to hold up better. I had a torrid run in 10 seaters which prompted my move and now I have made back my losses with a bit on top.

As for the bad players, yes they do play on all sites. It's just hard to believe they can play for very long and surely these guys eventually quit the game unless they learn how to play

For the record, I was referring to many sites. I playe a fair few. Most sites at micro stakes (I'm learning cash tables, more of a SnG man) are the same, though there are 10000% clear exceptions.

Cake poker - Idiot-fest
Carbon poker - Shark pool
Full tilt - so many players you just can't average it out/ tell
Doyles room - shark fest
PKR - nto played for a year or so - crap loyalty scheme (fools)
Titan - equAL mix
