I dont know if you guys watched the first 3 seasons of High Stakes Poker but the 4th season just kicked off.

Its hilarious when the decide to put a 7 2 game on. Whoever wins a pot with 7 2 wins $500 from each player. It causes some great action.

i saw that episode with the 2/7 , antonio esfandiari bluffed someone out of the pot with the 2/7 off and he didnt show it, lol
he really didnt care about the 500$ from each player.
A few hands later he got bluffed by mike matusow with 2/7 off and he showed it immediately ...

Aye - that was a classic. He could not stop talking about it and Mastusow was uber pissed off. And the other guys at the table, sure - Helmuth is not at all modest, but they can't stand him lol but his record can't be contested - in tournaments at least.

Mind you he'd have looked a right charlie if he'd got called.

Although i think Matisow played the hand pretty badly (really think he should have raised on the flop), he does make a good point about the laydown. It went something along the lines of "you call a big bet from phil helmuth on the river and see how many times you win". Pretty good advice

i cant understand the fold the only hands that can beat him are : JJ,QQ,AA
instant call to me......the perfect card comes on the turn:another 6, so if helmuth had Q/J, matusow would still win.
I agree he played the hand weak preflop, but i see no reason to fold it.
If he got QQ,JJ,AA then it's just badluck so i would have crossed my fingers and called.

Every time I see how much money these guys have, I want to quit what I'm doing and become a poker pro. Then I play poker and lose a big hand I should have won and I change my mind, lol

I'll just keep taking small shots and hope to hit it big.
